Pilates PPilates Classes

The classes...

Pilates Posture

Classes start with a few gentle mobilising/relaxation exercises to get the mind and body prepared and allow unnecessary tension to release. You will be guided through finding your optimum postural alignment and also through finding your breath (which for Pilates is a lateral and thoracic).

Lead by demonstration and description you will complete a series of Pilates based exercises. Classes always include stability exercises for the pelvis, strengthening exercises for the abdomen, mobility and lengthening exercises for the spine.

Often, classical Pilates exercises will be included and sometimes equipment such as bands, balls, weights, rolls, isotoners, barrels, arcs, sit fits will complement the routine.

All mats and equipment are provided. Classes start promptly so you should arrive at least 5 minutes before hand, to give you time to remove outdoor coats and shoes and to settle on your mat.
